Giclee' Prints on canvas are also available for purchase as described below each image. These are high quality reproductions printed on heavy art canvas. They are stretched and mounted on a 1 1/2" wood stretcher frame, they have a UV protective coating, look as good as the original and because their edges are gallery-wrapped, they can be hung on your wall with no frame.  The actual finished canvas sizes are shown below each image.

 The National World War I Museum & Memorial

 With The Kansas City, Missouri Skyline                    

 The inspiration for this painting came from a photo I saw on the internet taken by a camera-drone.

 I then took a lot of my own photographs of the actual site, re-drew and re-constructed the entire scene,

 set up multiple vanishing points to establish the perspective layout, enlarged and moved the city skyline

 closer to the foreground than it is in reality and started painting.  I started with the sky, then the background

 and worked my way to the foreground.  It was an enjoyable project, painted in acrylic on a constructed

 wood panel measuring 30"x40".                         

On March 28, 2018,  I donated the original of this 30"x40" acrylic painting to The National World War I Museum and Memorial, Kansas City, Missouri.    It will be included in their permanent contemporary art collection.

The famous Missouri artist George Caleb Bingham lived here during the Civil War

and created, among other works, his painting "Order Number Eleven."
